Captain Jack - It's Time to Set Sail!

Jeff gives a quick overview of a ride that is at the top of the charts at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom - the newly revamped Pirates of the Caribbean.

Welcome back everyone! Arrrr you ready to explorer the seas with the likes of pirates? If your anything like by two little boys, pirates are in your blood! One of the most famous attractions, at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland happens to be the drunken gents that take part in all things foul the,  Pirates of The Caribbean! Here, all the guests board a boat and set sail though the late night hours falling a plunge of 14 feet into the middle of an all out pirate battle! Boats on both sides shooting canons, only feet away! Beware the waters ahead get a little ruff, and you might just get a little wet! As you float through the amazing attraction you will find the legendary Captain himself... Captain Jack Sparrow! Hidden around ever corner as he tries to get the map of the location of the hidden treasures.

pirates of caribbean

Setting the backdrop for one of Hollywood's favorite movie series The Pirates of The Caribbean, this attraction is one of the quickest to board and one of the best to experience! The Cast Members will ask you to transfer from any electronic wheelchairs, because they can't transfer the chair themselves. You must transfer from your wheelchair to the attraction's boat. If you are in a typical wheel chair, then you can stroll right up to the boarding area! Once your done battling the Pirates and stealing the treasures you will come to the exit of the ride, where your wheelchair will be sitting. Once you have your party together you will then exit separately to the left to go up in an elevator to meet others in your party at the Pirates' Gift Shop!

Captain Jack

Be sure to get a picture with Pirate Goofy at the entrance of the attraction throughout the day! The gift shop is filled with some of the great props of the movie and gifts for all ages and all likes of the Pirate Code! Have a Captain Jack Sparrow fan in your party, don't forget to check out one of the many Pirate shows right across from the attraction entrance! Here, your little one can be chosen to learn the ropes and share the stage with the Captain himself and his crazy crew! Here you will learn to battle with a sword, take direction from the Captain, and learn a few really bad jokes to tell! Makes for great pictures and lots of fun memories! Don't forget to check out the Pirate League and get transformed into a dirty faced pirate and you can even purchase a package with a complete outfit and sword! This can be a fun adventure in itself, but let me warn you, if you have your entire face painted and your little pirate likes to take a nap...this can be the end of a messy night! For two boys, it was around $100 to get the experience of a lifetime, for my little pirates it was worth the treasure! Until next time, Remember The Magic and have fun no matter where you are!
