Good Night, Mouse for April 11, 2011
Bob tucks in the Mouse and reads him to sleep with a rundown of today's stories, which featured Disney Princess grapes, a beautiful friendship formed over a scatter of French Fries, Walt Disney's dislike for Las Vegas, and more.
So, Mickey, while you were working, your friends on Disney Dispatch were writing:
Bob McLain's keyboard oozed acid as he skewered Lisa Wade for condemning Disney on its marketing of Disney Princess grapes in grocery stores. Were Disney branding laudanum, sure, that's not a good thing, but grapes? As Frankenstein would say: grapes good!
Amber Sewell's life in Disney's CareerStart Program has taken a turn for the better as she finds a new best friend in Betty, a co-worker at the Electric Umbrella. Their friendship was sparked by a spill of French fries.
Rolly Crump's model for the facade of It's a Small World had nothing even remotely 'Las Vegas' about it, and that's a good thing, because if there's one thing Walt Disney doesn't want in his parks, it's Vegas.
Wally's latest wander takes him to DINOSAUR in the Animal Kingdom where he becomes the time-hopping agent of Dr. Grant Seeker in that gentleman's mad desire to whisk back an Iguanodon from a primordial jungle.
Wandering the World with Wally
JB Conway's haiku is another in the Epcot April series, and this one ought to bring back fond holiday memories for those who attended last year's Candlelight Processional.
That wraps the day!
Hey, Mickey, isn't it cool how Amber met Betty? Mickey? Ah, too late...
Good night, Mouse!
Come back tomorrow for more Good Night, Mouse!
