Aurora Remembers
MouseTube is a gateway to really special Disney videos: some brand-new, some years-old. Usually, a little girl meeting a princess isn't that special (except to the little girl, of course). But these videos of Aurora and friend are special indeed.
(Credit to Jeff Heimbuch for finding these videos and sharing with me.)
The Disney princesses 'process' hundreds, maybe thousands, of little girls, daily. They sit for photos, stand for them, mug for them, and after awhile, the kids they're posing with must blur into a single entity with four limbs and a head.
You can't expect a princess to remember your kid, even if you return the very next day.
Of course, there are exceptions: if your kid barfs on Belle, then comes back the next day, Belle just might remember.
But wouldn't it be amazing if a princess recognized your child from a previous pose? And what if that previous pose hadn't been the day before, but the week before; or maybe the year before?
Crazy, eh? Even Disney magic isn't that potent.
So what if I told you that a kid (aged 3) posed with Princess Aurora one day in 2003, and then returned three years later, in 2006, and posed with that same Princess Aurora, who recognized her?
Cynics might suspect a set-up, but I think it's just one of those magical things that sometimes happen at Disney World.
The top video chronicles the first meeting in 2003; the bottom, the second in 2006.
Visit the uploader's channel for a couple more videos that show Aurora hooking up with the kid again later that day to deliver birthday presents.
