About the Column

Finding perfect Disney pictures isn't easy. The obvious places to look, such as Flickr, are awash in pictures posted by folks returning from a Disney trip. With patience, it's possible to find stunning shots, not always 'photographically flawless', but stunning for how the shooter has captured a slice of Disney, big or small, and captured it in such a way that you're inspired to do likewise the next time you're in a Disney park. Enjoy these shots of park perfection!

Perfect Camp Minnie-Mickey Fishing

Every Disney picture tells a Disney story, and today we continue with our set of perfect park pics from Dan Sisneros, who had an urge once to get in some fishin' but upon stopping by his favorite hole in Camp Minnie-Mickey found it occupied.

The ol' fishing hole.

What could be more fun on a hot summer afternoon than heading out with your buddies to the ol' fishing hole, tackle box in one hand, six-pack of beer in the other, magazine in the back pocket...

Hold on: wrong fishin' hole.

At Disney World, you'll find a more family-friendly fishin' hole in Camp Minnie-Mickey. The hole is themed Adirondacks style, and it's currently occupied by an expectant Mickey, an alert Pluto, and a passed-out Goofy.

It doesn't appear as if the fish are biting. But knowing Mickey, he'll sit there until they do. And, of course, Pluto will sit there with him. Goofy, on the other hand, seems content to lie back, both hands around his thin rod, and enjoy sweet dreams.

Note the details: that's a large sandwich, probably made with Wonder Bread, in Goofy's lunchbox, and what appears to be an apple next to it.

Scenes like these are such pleasant surprises in the less-traveled regions of Disney World, such as Camp Minnie-Mickey.

And make for wonderfully perfect park pics:
