The Coming of Kingdom Keepers IV
One day, Ridley Pearson had a fantastic idea: write a series of adventure stories set IN Disney World! He called his heroes the Kingdom Keepers. In just a few days the fourth book in his series debuts. Get ready...
Kingdom Keepers is the closest thing Disney has to rival Harry Potter.
How can I compare the two? Harry Potter, after all, is a literary phenomenon, with a successful presence at Universal. But that's just it! Harry Potter happens to be at Universal; Kingdom Keepers, however, is Disney World.
This essential linkage between books and theme parks has made Kingdom Keepers a smash hit with Disney fans, and when you think about it, that's just about everybody.
Think Kingdom Keepers, think Disney World; think Harry Potter, think ... Hogwarts.
Kingdom Keepers Events: Disney World
The fourth book in the Kingdom Keepers series, Power Play, is scheduled for national release Tuesday, April 5, but appropriately enough, you can get your copy on April 4, starting at 3:00 PM, in Once Upon a Toy at Downtown Disney.
Once you've bought it, and picked up your wristband, you can then hop in line to have Ridley Pearson sign the book. He'll be in the store that day between 4:00 - 7:00 PM.
If that doesn't fit your schedule, head over to The Writer's Stop at Disney's Hollywood Studios on April 5, where Ridley again will be signing books between 2:00 - 5:00 PM.
Is it really that easy, though? Nope.
To meet Ridley, you must buy Kingdom Keepers IV at Disney World, and you must buy it early enough to get one of a limited number of wristbands.
Without the wristband, you don't meet Ridley.
Disney has all the details, requirements, and gotchas. Read carefully!
Kingdom Keepers Events: Disney Dispatch
Thanks to Disney Publishing, I have an advance copy of Kingdom Keepers IV and will publish my review here on DisneyDispatch tomorrow.
I've just started reading, but so far it's a fantastic follow-up and Ridley has wisely added some dissension in the ranks of the Kingdom Keepers to spice the plot.
And, later this month, I'll be chatting with Ridley about his books, his literary influences, and his writing process.
If you plan to attend either of the Kingdom Keepers events at Disney World, and if you'd like to author your experience, please get in touch!
Don't stop there! More Tidings Await...
